HEDP is an organic phosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor. It can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces. It can form a six-ring chelate with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, so it has better scale inhibition effect and obvious solubility effect.
